Cookie policy
Last updated 8 September 2026
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists every cookie ghostshopper.ai uses, what it is for, and how to change your choice. Our product app at app.ghostshopper.ai sets its own cookies and has its own policy.
1. Your choice
The first time you visit we show a banner with equal “Accept” and “Reject” buttons. Nothing other than the strictly necessary consent cookie is set until you choose. If you reject, Google Analytics runs without cookies or identifiers and only sends anonymous, aggregate signals. Your choice is stored for 12 months.
To change your choice, use the button below or clear the gs_consent cookie in your browser. The banner will ask again.
2. The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
gs_consent | ghostshopper.ai | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so the banner is not shown again. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another with a random identifier. | Analytics (consent) | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current visit for the Google Analytics property. | Analytics (consent) | 2 years |
Cal.com embed cookies | app.cal.com | Set by the booking calendar inside the free-test form, only after you submit it, to keep your booking session working and remember display preferences. | Functional (only on the booking step) | Session to 1 year, set by Cal.com |
3. Things that do not set cookies
- The product video on the home page is hosted by Vimeo and embedded with “do not track” enabled, so Vimeo sets no cookies.
- The free-test form posts to Formspree, which sets no cookies on this site.
- Your progress in the free-test form is kept in the page while it is open and is not stored in a cookie.
4. Google Consent Mode
We use Google’s Consent Mode. Analytics and advertising storage are set to “denied” before Google’s script loads and only switch to “granted” if you accept. In the denied state Google receives cookieless pings that carry no identifiers, which lets us see rough totals without tracking you.
5. Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the gs_consent cookie means the banner will appear on every visit. Blocking all cookies does not affect the free-test form, but may stop the Cal.com booking calendar from loading, in which case the fallback link on the confirmation screen opens the calendar in a new tab.
